Australian Visas
The family violence provisions allow certain people applying for permanent residence in Australia to continue with their application after the breakdown of their married or de facto relationship, if they or a member of their family unit have experienced family violence by their partner.
Our preferred method of communication is by completing our online assessment or general enquiry questionnaire. We then open a file, send you our secure portal log in details, and request documents we need for our assessment within the secure portal.
You can complete our online assessment form so we can prepare a preliminary assessment of your visa options and provide its related cost.
If you are a contracted client, use the email assigned to your contract, e.g. individual agent’s email address, or post a message on the secure online portal. Portal communication is preferred.
Laws regulating how we may advise
The laws regulating our work, requires a file, and identification of all to whom the advice relates.
It also requires that all communication be file noted. Our system automatically file notes emails and portal messages. Emails must reflect the file reference somewhere in the email subject line.

These are by appointment only. The law does not allow us to provide migration advice outside a file. The law also requires that all communication be file noted. See our processes below after you completed our online enquiry.
OUR PROCESSES
- opening a file
- sending you access details via email to our secure portal
- the portal lists documents we need for our assessment (including identifiers)
- we assess the details and documents you provide and respond with our preliminary assessment letter (PAL)
- the PAL remains valid for 14 days only. If you do not respond within that time, you close the file.
- a fee applies to redo assessments and/or to re-open a file.
